The kids and I printed and cut them out, then glued them to some construction paper. Inside we used a small square of scrapbooking paper [from a package I bought at the Dollar Tree] for the boys to write their messages on.
Hubby got an extra special valentine- I pulled out the paper doilies (from last year's valentine project) and got busy!
Happy early Valentine's Day, everyone!

Wow! You guys really put a lot of effort into those cards. I have a feeling I'll take the cheap and lazy route and buy cards for my son when the time comes. :) I do love stuffing them with candies though. That was always my favorite part of valentine's day.
ReplyDeleteCute cards!
ReplyDeleteCasto- their school has a strict "no sweets" policy this year so not a stitch of candy/cookie goodness can be delivered with their valentines. That's why I take the extra step of making cards with them- so at least the kids get something that's a bit more special than just a little rectangle cardboard strip with a cartoon character on it. If I *could* do something simple with candy, it would make buying the cards so much more appealing! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage images. So cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are simply adorable! Thank you for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI think those are much better than the valentines they sell for kids now.
ReplyDeleteHow very fun! They really turned out cute!
