I am linking up to Vintage Thingies Thursday over at Suzanne's place this week to share my oh so thrifty, and definitely vintage find of the week!
There she sat. In some random front yard on the drive to my brother's house. With a haphazardly attached sign saying simply "$5.00"
I spotted her out of the corner of my eye, thought I must have read it wrong and kept going. Ha ha! Kept going, that is, until the bargainista in me knocked on my brain and said, "Hello in there, turn around and go see, you know you want toooooo... you haaaaave tooooooo!"
So I pulled a "U-y" (pronounced You-eee) and zipped back as fast as my beating heart and lead foot would take me and sure enough. There she sat. And her asking price, a mere $5.
I am SO glad I own a station wagon.
She came home with me and received a little love in the way of some leftover white paint from the garage, a cushion I bought at Homegoods -clearance priced due to a busted zipper- and my pretty little blue crab pillow that I bought at the Christmas Tree Shop for a dollar or two a few weeks back.
What do you think? I think she's purty. ;)
Head on over to Coloradolady for more vintage finds!
Your char was a good bargain and it looks great with the new blue cushions.
