The scattered ramblings thoughtful musings of a work at home mom: jewelry designing, crafting for fun, cooking, decorating my house and raising three boys
It's barely still Wednesday in this time zone. I've been crazy busy working all day and most of the night. Here are some of the new pendants, earrings and bracelets I've started on:
Today is all about soldering. I am playing catch-up on some pendant and bracelet orders and also making a few new pieces that will go into my Etsy shop.

rough bezel settings for several pendants and a tiny pair of earrings.
I soldered them yesterday, today I trim the excess, file and shape and add the bails.
More photos tomorrow!
I'm pleased as punch to show off a new sea glass pendant design tonight!
This sterling silver shamrock pendant is hand cut and features a brilliant kelly green sea glass piece- collected locally from the RI coastline.
Bring along a little luck of the Irish next time you're out hunting for sea glass!
Now available in my Etsy Shop!
Not the greatest photo, but today's jewelry projects are done and are now polishing away. Tomorrow they will be shiny and lovely and on their way to their new homes!
Working on 3 custom bracelets
As well as a custom pottery pendant and a sea glass pendant for Beth, the winner of my giveaway!
Finally getting around to photographing and listing these pieces
Sea glass and pottery shard earrings can be found here
Bracelets can be found here
and pendants can be found here and here
(I have more photos to take and will post pictures of even more bracelets and pendants over the course of the weekend!)
Here are some of my newest finished jewelry pieces. Beach gathered pottery and sea glass bezel set in sterling and fine silver. Earrings hang from handmade sterling ear wires and bracelet focals are attached to handforged sterling silver bangles.
Available soon on my website!
Woke up at 6:30 after working until 1:30 last night to get things finished up and was out of the house at 7 this morning for the craft fair... the weather kept many of the shoppers at home but it was still a decent turnout, I made some good connections and even met up with an old family friend whom I hadn't seen since I graduated high school. Here are a couple of photos of my half of the table. (Shared the table with my friend, Paula)
Very tired, sorry this isn't a longer post, I'm off for a well deserved rest!
Yawn! I am tired and achy today and sit in the dark kitchen looking out at a cloudy and wet morning. I pulled a 10 hour work day yesterday in preparation for the craft show this weekend. I hit an all time high for soldering work- 38 individual pieces cut and soldered together.
Today I have to trim off all the excess silver and file them smooth so I can attach bails to the pendants, clasp rings to the bracelet pieces and loops to the tops of the earring pieces. Then I have to do all that attaching. If I can manage to get that finished before it's time to start dinner, I'll begin setting the pottery/shells/sea glass. I'm reallllllly hoping to get this stuff finished tonight because my back and neck are killing me from sitting, stooping and standing over this work for so many hours. (not to mention I need to get this stuff polished by Friday night so I can card it all for Saturday morning!)
Aaack, what the heck am I doing posting, I need to get to work!
Maybe later I'll treat you all to a photo which I'll entitle "The beauty of a jeweler's hands". Oh boy, that'll be a nice one!
