I can't believe there was no damage and no injuries!

Since we were not home on Saturday night, we missed hearing the sound of a giant tree crashing from our yard into our neighbor's yard.

And because it's a rental full of college kids who didn't think to tell us, we had no clue anything had happened until yesterday.

I cannot believe it not only didn't hit one of our houses, but it also didn't hit their porch, backyard swing, gazebo or anything else.

It also slid like a thread through a needle neatly into an opening in the fence between our yards, no fence repair needed.

Yes, this is a branch that snapped off and drilled itself into the ground about 12 inches. Took two people to pull it out.

Today the clean up begins. These images are taken after 3 dump runs.

Thank heavens for husbands and father in laws!

Yes, Thank goodness no one was hurt. Isn't it amazing when something that could be so catastrophic turns out okay like that? A miracle.

that is quite amazing! What on early happened? Doesn't look like an icestorm or muddy mess!

We had a really bad nor'easter over the weekend. Flooding in several areas, many many inches of rain in others and wicked whipping winds. It started raining on Thurs or Friday of last week and didn't stop until Sunday. Saturday was the brunt force of it.
